No, most people do not feel any pain when the fine
needle is inserted. Some patients may feel a very slight
sensation. Acupuncture makes people get relaxed and fall asleep
after a few minutes. Patients may have some sensations such as
numbness, warmth and pressure which are different from pain.
Because acupuncture needles are very fine and thin (about the side of a
woman's hair). The needles are solid, made of stainless steel and
nothing is injected through them. Dr. Woo has a unique painless
insertion technique to place a needle with little or no sensation.
- Are the needles safe and clean?
